PADDINGTON, QLD
JOE ADSETT ARCHITECTS
THE BRIEF
To transform an old Queenslander into a Mediterranean inspired luxury villa, maintaining the local character, and providing a young married couple with perfect entertaining spaces and their forever home.
THE SOLUTION
Application of engineering principles to support the original 100 year old timber cottage while constructing the modern two-storey excavation below. The juxtaposition of blending the old and new structures required creative thinking and utilisation of intricate construction processes and materials to achieve the client’s vision.
