Sam has 17 years’ experience across a range of civil, structural, and environmental engineering projects throughout Australia. His team delivers a range of comprehensive design services to both the private and public sectors including roadworks, earthworks and pathways, sewer systems, stormwater drainage, water quality and utility improvement plans, overland flow flood analysis, parking and traffic circulation design, land planning, local use permits and applications.

As Managing Director Sam leads the company’s strategic direction, corporate planning and quality management processes to achieve Westera’s business objectives of pursuing engineering excellence and ensuring that the best possible products and services are provided to our clients. This involves remaining up to date with developments in the industry, ensuring strict compliance with workplace, health, safety and other regulations, and developing, promoting and directing the implementation of equal opportunities policies in all aspects of the company’s work.

Sam sits on a number of external committees, enabling him to establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major clients, relevant government departments and agencies, local authorities, key decision-makers and other stakeholders generally, to exchange information and views and to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of services.
