A great fun project for Dominique Finlay-Jones Architects and Westera Partners needing lots of creative design skills and some old school design knowledge to create a fully functioning sustainably designed farm and function centre.
What was the brief from DFJ Architects – To help transform a tired 80 acre dairy farm into a working farm with paddock-to-plate restaurant, and function centre – “a place to grow, feed and educate”.
What made it most interesting – Dom and the Lane’s priority to “Preserve viable existing structures through adaptive re-use, before grafting on contemporary shed-like architecture….”
